With this creation, Tarisse wanted to translate her “Campsites” story into a 3D object. The choice to use metal is a reflection on the strength and longevity of the Australian Indigenous culture and the stories passed down over the centuries.

Campsites Story

Australian Indigenous culture is well known for its nomadic lifestyle. Tarisse often reflects on the fact that her ancestors would constantly move from one campsite to another to find a better food and water source, and for better shelter to suit the seasonal conditions.
